2020 B&C Pennants - Final Results

The Finals of the 2020 B and C Grade Pennants was held on Sunday November 15 at Shortland Waters GC in great weather for golf.

The C Grade match led the way with last year's finalists, Belmont and Nelson Bay again involved this year.

The individual games were mostly close all day with the team result wavering either way- and at the conclusion of the individual matches the result was a 3 all tie. In accordance with the rules - a player was nominated from both teams - and a sudden death playoff was commenced.

Representing Belmont, Warren Allen was able to win the playoff on the first playoff hole over Stephen Rigby from nelson Bay.

Belmont thus won the C Grade Pennant for the past 2 years.

Congratulations to both teams for providing a great spectacle, a good close match and playing the games in good spirits etc.

The B Grade Final was contested between teams from the South Division, namely, Waratah and Belmont - and was also a very close affair.

The Result looked likely to be another 3-all Draw - requiring a playoff - until the No.2 match swung in favour of the Waratah team and was subsequently won on the 19th hole..

This resulted in a 4-2 win to the Waratah boys - who are our B Grade Pennant winners for 2020.

Again congratulations to both teams for the closeness of the competition and the spirit in which they competed.
