The 2nd NDGA junior classic was held on Sunday 3 March at the Belmont Golf Club. For the 29 boys and 4 girls with GA’s ranging from +2 to 54.0 and their supporters it proved to be an enjoyable and successful tournament with slightly under half the field sharing the prizes. The prize divisions were set up to ensure a wide range of players took home a share of the prizes.
The overall winner on the day was Lachlan Day who won on a countback from Jake Roxby
The stroke tournament for players with a GA of less17.1 had 2 divisions with Declan Gordan from Waratah, taking out 1st place in the -2.0 to 8.0 division and Nikhill Pillay from Nelson Bay taking out 1st place in the 8.1 to 17.1 division.
In the Girls division Alexis Moanaroa from Waratah took out 1st place
The boys stableford division was also divided into 2 divisions with Jake Roxby from Waratah taking out 1st place in the 17.1 to 29.0 division and Nate Sharpe from Belmont taking out 1st place in the 29.1 to 54.0 division.

With better communication to our Juniors, this series can only become bigger and better and achieve the aim of given all junior players a great inter club competition throughout the year.
