NDGA District Championships - 2021 - Results
The 2021 NDGA District Championships for all Grades was finally held on Sunday January 16 at Newcastle Golf Club.
Newcastle GC was in the usual excellent condition and the weather played its part with warm and sunny conditions
A grade had 103 players - B Grade 75 - C Grade 34
Congratulation to our new District Champion - Oscar Gilson from Newcastle GC with a 2 over 75 - winning by 2 strokes from Ben Hillard and Tommy De Wit also from Newcastle GC
Both of the Team events were won by teams from Newcastle - each time by less than 4 strokes from teams from Charlestown.
Congratulations to our B Grade District Champion - Trent Ireland from Belmont GC with a score of 87 despite playing the last 2 holes in 5 over. The minor placing were filled by Steve Majak from Muree and Gus Allars from Newcastle.
The C Grade District Champion was decided after a 3 hole playoff after both Dale Cummings from Charlestown and Paul Forsyth from Hawks Nest finished on 99.
Dale Cummings was successful in the playoff and is our C Grade District Champion - with Robert Connor from Nelson Bay finishing 3rd.
