.The annual match against our arch rivals the HRDGA took place at Nelson Bay GC on the weekend of July 22, 23.

In the previous 3 encounters - we saw 2 drawn matches - so it was pleasing to see a win for the Newcastle team by 11 to 7.

The format for this match consisted of 4BBB Matchplay on the Saturday - with a senior and a junior in each team.   On Sunday, we have the individual matchplay all on scratch.

Saturday saw Newcastle leading by 4 to 2 after the fourballs - then sharing the spoils in the Individual Seniors 3 all - before the Juniors made up for their disappointing result in the match against Central Coast recently - by winning their division by 4 to 2

Congrats to the Newcastle team - now to carry some form into the Regional Championships at Muswellbrook on Aug 12/13.
