More changes to the B&C Pennant series – and this time it is serious…….
The recent Govt announcement to extend the lockdown in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens LGA’s has serious implications for the NDGA B&C Grade Pennant Series.
We used our spare day in an attempt to reschedule Round 4 when it had to be abandoned when the first of the 7 day lockdowns was announced - this left no more wriggle room when the extension to the lockdown was announced - and with the future restrictions being unknown - forced our hand.
The NDGA has been forced into the position where it must suspend/postpone the competition until further notice. As a minimum, the Covid based restrictions will have to behind us and travel greater than 10km is allowed.
We have only completed 3 Rounds in a 7 round plus Semis and Finals competition – and it is anyone’s guess, at this time, when a resumption is even possible.
The NDGA is prepared to make every attempt to re-schedule to complete this Pennant Series – but the Competition must be completed by the end of January 2022 – otherwise the Competition will have to be abandoned.
