B Grade - Tanilba Bay

Well the day started out in fine breezy condition's, ended up with showers and rain.

Newcastle advanced to the Final with a 2 hole playoff win against Muree after both teams were locked at 3-3. Played in terrible conditions Angus MacBean def Scott Bullen. Newcastle's winners were Angus MacBean 4/3, Deane Gunsen 2/1 and Malcolm Jack 3/2.

In the other game,  Belmont decided not to contunie in deteriorating weather conditions, so Hawks Nest went thru to the Final.

C Grade - Nelson Bay

Again the day started out in fine breezy condition's, ended up with showers and rain.

Tanilba Bay continued there unbeated run when they defeated Horizon's 4-2. Good wins to Bill Osbourne 5/4, Bob Nelson 2Up, Dave Middlebrook 1Up and Mark Harding 3/1 got the Tanilba Bay team over the line.

In the match between Charlestown and Hawks Nest Charlestown had 3 early wins to no 4, Matt Cullen 7/6, No 5 Greg Chad 4/3 and No 6 Brett Jeager 7/6 leaving them to try and clinch another win, Hawks Nest fought back with wins to No1 Phil Jones 4/3 and No3 Fred Sparksemen 4/2, leaving Laurie Collison & Jeff Sims still out on the course, ther game finished square, so were sent back to the 18th to play off, with Laurie winning to take the results to a 3 all draw.

Unfortuneately fading light and light rain caused a suspesion of play and the playoff will take place at 9am tomorrow on the 18th hole to determine the winning team.
