Matt Kirkwood - Hawks Nest GC

The 2023 running of the District Championships has concluded at Belmont GC on Sunday 26 November.

Matt Kirkwood & Mark Ellison finished with a fine 3 under par 69's after the conclusion of the regular 18 holes. This then resulted in a 3 hole playoff to decide the District Champion. Matt Kirkwood was victorious in the playoff. A huge congratulations to Matt, he now earns a invitation to the Country Champs in Parkes in 2024 as part of the NDGA team.

In the Martin Shield teams event for A Grade Gross, the Newcastle team of Ben Hawes, Tom De Wit, Mark Ellison & Hamish Ellison finished 1 shot clear of the Charlestown team.

I would like to thank Belmont GC and there pro-shop staff, Captain Steve Pryor and all the green staff for the way the course was presented.
