Newcastle DGA entered the following players in the team’s event Lez Wallace Tom De Wit Jake Riley Chris Jardine David Alexander and Jordan Ward with Bryce Pickin as reserve.

The first day Saturday November 11^th proved to be difficult for the field with a strong northerly afternoon wind, our team struggled under the conditions, however, held their own against a strong playing field to be in second position.

Sunday November 12^th with an early 8am start and a relentless northerly wind the NDGA team showed their metal and proved to be too good on the day winning by 10 strokes their second Medal in a row as the winning District Team a very commendable effort.

The NSW Country Champion for 2023 is Andrew Kirkman with a scratch score of 72 and 70 total 142 a fine game of golf under the conditions.
